The Master Shot · the crossing

First curb, first note. The four wait at the near edge of Abbey Road in the tidiest era: matching collarless grey suits, clean lines, the black-and-white cleanliness of Beatlemania’s first year. On the downbeat the walrus, the eagle, the bull, and the fox step off together and the crossing begins. It will not stop until the song does.

The Assigned Scene · the montage

A small circle opens on a black screen. The camera tracks Mike’s face as he walks left to right toward a chair in the middle of the road; the circle grows and the frame zooms out to reveal the full scene, people passing in both directions. Mike sits, settles the guitar, and begins to play from that seated center: the stationary storyteller for the whole video.

  2. Shot B / RevealThe circle grows and the camera zooms out to the full street: Abbey Road at dawn, pedestrians crossing both ways, the chair waiting mid-road.
  3. Shot C / First noteMike sits and starts to play. On the downbeat, the four representations step off the near curb in unison.

Rough Cut

Scene 00 · Rough Cut v4 · 720p draftThe scene assembled against the master: city sound carries the walk, fades as Mike reaches the chair, and the song begins on his first strum as the four step off. Still to come in the final: the expanding iris, the amber beacon glow, the color blooming from the strings, richer street sound, and the 1080p picture.

Storyboard

Timecodes are video time: the video opens with a four second silent black-and-white breath, so the track begins at video 0:04 and the first vocal lands at video 0:18. Three camera setups told in ten beats, black frame to cut.

Beat 1: an almost black frame, the iris just cracking open
Beat 1 · Shot 00-A · The iris cracks0:00.0–0:01.5Silence. A black frame, street sound only. A small circle of grey London cracks open in the dark.
Beat 2: the iris clears Mike's face mid-stride
Beat 2 · Shot 00-A · The first note0:04.0The track's first note lands exactly as the iris clears Mike's face, mid-stride, the camera tracking with him. Pure 1963 monochrome.
Beat 3: the circle grown, Mike from the chest up with the headstock over his shoulder
Beat 3 · Shot 00-A · The circle grows0:06.0The circle widens with his walk: shoulders, stride, the guitar's headstock over his shoulder, the street soft behind him.
Beat 4: wide reveal of the crossing with the empty chair dead center
Beat 4 · Shot 00-B · The world widens0:08.0–0:11.0The circle blows past the frame edges as the camera pulls back: the full crossing, pedestrians both ways, the chair waiting dead center on the stripes.
Beat 5: the amber Belisha beacon globes glow, the only color in the frame
Beat 5 · Shot 00-B · First color0:11.5The crossing's own furniture warms first: the two Belisha beacon globes bloom amber, the only color on Earth.
Beat 6: Mike turns and lowers himself onto the chair
Beat 6 · Shot 00-B · The sit0:13.5Mike reaches the chair, swings the guitar around, and lowers himself; the camera settles exactly as he settles. The last pedestrians walk out of frame.
Beat 7: close on hands settling onto the twelve-string, the held breath
Beat 7 · Shot 00-C · The held breath0:14.0–0:15.9Close on the black-and-white twelve-string: left hand takes the chord, right hand hovers. The intro tightens toward the accent.
Beat 8: Mike strikes the strings and warm color blooms across his hands
Beat 8 · Shot 00-C · The strike0:16.0His hand comes down: the first note Mike plays on screen. Color blooms outward from the strings across his hands while the world, and the black-and-white Rickenbacker itself, stay monochrome.
Beat 9: the four representations step off the curb past Mike's shoulder
Beat 9 · Shot 00-C · First step0:16.5The camera hears the note and turns: the four step off the near curb in unison, untouched 1963 black and white, the fox glancing back with the smirk.
Beat 10: the four a stride further, a small hand-drawn note rising; the cut frame
Beat 10 · Shot 00-C · The cut frame0:17.5–0:18.0Their first stride holds as a single hand-drawn note rises off the strings: the frame that cuts to Scene 01 on the first vocal. The crossing that lasts the whole song has begun.

No reference to honor yet: this is Mike’s own frame. The look anchors the earliest era, 1963, so the crossing has the full thirteen-album arc ahead of it. Hold the color muted and clean; save saturation for the psychedelic middle.

Seedance Prompts

Shared style block · prefix every promptNostalgic Beatles-era music video, warm sepia-tinted London morning light, cinematic 35mm film look with subtle grain, era-blend of 1960s and present day, reverent and dreamlike, shallow depth of field, natural motion.
Opening (Mike)

Slow iris-in from black on a musician’s face as he walks toward a lone chair in the middle of a quiet London zebra crossing at dawn, camera tracking beside him, pedestrians passing in both directions, he sits and begins to play.

First crossing (the four)

Four dignified animal figures in matching collarless 1960s grey suits step off a curb onto a zebra crossing in unison on a musical beat, clean early-60s styling, soft morning light, this layer holds no other figures.
